ABOUT BONKA GAMES

Bonka Games was founded and created by Rachel Mayne in 2022 under which ¿Cuántos Tacos? will be published through Kickstarter funding.

I came up with Bonka Games as a company name as a shout out to my nieces and nephews. (They call me Bonka. I don’t know why, but a niece started it around 2008 and it stuck. I’ve kept it going because it’s easier to teach a kid to say Bonka than Rachel.) Case in point ⬇️.

My husband and I like to play games. One day my husband challenged me to make my own game. I LOVE tacos so the theme was obvious. So I took some elements of some of our favorite games and started working on a prototype. After about a year of playtesting and tweaking, the final product is ¿Cuántos Tacos?

This is the first game I have designed. I do have a couple others in various stages of creation right now. Most of what happens with them will depend getting ¿Cuántos Tacos? off the ground.
